The annual Planned
Parenthood Book Sale is returning to the Earl Warren
Showgrounds, Warren Hall. It's
the largest used book sale in the
Tri-Counties, with something
for all ages and interests.
A special opening night reception will be held Thursday, September
18,
2008, from
5 p.m. to 9 p.m. (NEW
EXTENDED HOURS!) Please
join us for wine, cheese and other refreshments, and get first
pick among our thousands of books.
A $25 admission fee is payable at the door, opening
night only.
The regular sale continues
September 19 – September 28, 2008, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily,
with free parking and admission.
We put out new titles daily, so come by often!
All proceeds
from the sale benefit Planned Parenthood of Santa Barbara,
Ventura and San Luis Obispo Counties.
WE
ARE NOW ACCEPTING BOOK DONATIONS
We are accepting book
donations at our book sorting site, located at 721 E.
Gutierrez Street in Santa Barbara (located between Nopal
and Quarantina, on the right side of the street). Book
are accepted 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Please
place your donation (in boxes or in bags) in the white
trailer marked "PP Book Donations." The trailer is
unloaded on a regular basis. If you need a tax receipt,
please take one from the pocket located on the trailer
door (it will be on your right when the door is open).
Please take one receipt per visit, not per box or per
book.
We do not
accept magazines, text books or encyclopedias.
We do accept audio books as well
as DVDs.
